LETTER FROM THE ABF ELDERS AND FUTURE OF THE BUILDING PROJECT

July 8, 2010

Dear Alliance Family,

We had a wonderful time with many from our church family as we gathered on Sunday evening, June 27, to discuss the progress and plans related to the new building.  A number of you were unable to attend, and because we feel the information shared is important to the whole church family, we want to provide a summary of our time together.

Our objective was to remind the body of our purposes and plans for the new building.  We heard several testimonies affirming ABF’s commitment to people and ministry.  Our desire in building is not about bricks and mortar and monuments, but about providing a place for worship and loving people.  To this end, we spent some time discussing how this new facility would enable people to connect and build community.

Evidence of your faithful giving can be seen in additional parking, as well as the steel framework of the new building.  But construction has stopped.  The pages that follow will provide an update to where we are financially, what our vision is for the work ahead and how we need you to remain faithful as we wait on God for the next steps.  We hope to share more with you by early fall.

These are wonderfully exciting days here at ABF.  As elders we believe God has called us on the journey and He will provide for our needs in His timing. In the meantime, we want to be faithful to our mission and vision.  We invite you to join us in prayer and continue to walk by faith as we seek to follow God’s direction for His church here at Alliance Bible Fellowship.

Sincerely,

The Elders
Alliance Bible Fellowship

UPDATE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2009

Since the last video we have steel!! The building frame is up and the parking lots are being paved. These are very exciting times. We will finally be able to physically see what the building is going to look like AND we can finally walk to services without ruining our shoes :)

UPDATE WEDNESDAY, JULY 1, 2009

Since the last video we have cleared the back lot in preparation for the lower parking lot, ripped up the front parking lot in preparation for the Worship Center footprint, continued preparation for the front parking lot, and have begun to pour curbs throughout. Whew!

Parking will continue to be an issue this weekend. The front paved parking lot is now the front gravel parking lot. The curbs have been removed, but there are still "dirt curbs" to help direct us where to park. As always, look for the fellows in orange to direct traffic if there is any confusion. Thanks again for your patience and thanks to all who are parking "outside in" to make room for visitors.

UPDATE TUESDAY, JUNE 23, 2009

Now that the rain has stopped we have been seeing many changes. The land beyond the gravel parking has been cleared for site preparation for additional parking, silt retention fences have been placed along the property lines, electric and drainage lines have been run under the main drive entrance, and site preparation of the front of the property has continued.

Parking will continue to be troublesome on Sunday mornings. We appreciate your patience during the site preparation.

Stop by the Commons on Sunday morning to check out the design boards for the new building. You will see the color scheme, the flooring, updated drawings from the architects, and more.

PARKING UPDATE FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 14, 2009

We need as many people as possible to park at the High Country Timber Frame and Gallery Woodworking lot on George Wilson Rd. It is right at the bottom of the hill as you leave by our back exit. Do NOT block the overhead door. Those of you with small children, or with physical limitations are exempt. The upper paved lot will only have one entrance/exit and will be manned by Deacons directing traffic.
